All funds follow&nbsp;an active selection-focused investment process and thus offer clear added value. The funds are available in three unit classes: R&nbsp;(Retail), I (Institutional) and S (Seed):<\/p>\n<p><strong>Equity funds:&nbsp;<\/strong><br>Lloyd Fonds \u2013 European Hidden Champions (Unit Class R: DE000A2PB598, Unit Class I: DE000A2PB6A0, Unit Class S:&nbsp;DE000A2PB6B8)<br>Lloyd Fonds \u2013 European Quality &amp; Growth (Unit Class R: DE000A2PB6C6, Unit Class I: DE000A2PB6D4, Unit Class S:&nbsp;DE000A2PB6E2)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mixed fund:&nbsp;<\/strong><br>Lloyd Fonds \u2013 Best of Two Worlds (Unit Class R: DE000A2PB564, Unit Class I: DE000A2PB572, Unit Class S: DE000A2PB580)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bond fund:<\/strong><br>Lloyd Fonds \u2013 Special Yield Opportunities (Unit Class R: DE000A2PB6F9), Unit Class I: DE000A2PB6G7, Unit Class S:&nbsp;DE000A2PB6H5)<\/p>\n<p>Lloyd Fonds AG is acting as an advisor* for the respective funds. Maximilian Thaler, CFA, (Lloyd Fonds \u2013 European Hidden&nbsp;Champions) and Christian Reindl, CFA, (Lloyd Fonds \u2013 European Quality &amp; Growth) are responsible for the two equity funds. The&nbsp;focus of the two equity funds is on European equities. Both are investment experts for innovative and high-quality growth&nbsp;companies. The mixed fund Lloyd Fonds \u2013 Best of Two Worlds will jointly be operated by Christian Reindl and Dr. Tobias Spies, who&nbsp;is also responsible for the bond fund Lloyd Fonds \u2013 Special Yield Opportunities. The fixed income expert prefers to invest in&nbsp;opportunities and special situations arising from inefficiencies. All three fund specialists have a successful track record.<\/p>\n<p>Universal Investment GmbH is the capital management company for the four investment funds. The funds are initially open to seed&nbsp;investors from April 1. They will then be launched on a broad basis on May 2, 2019. On this day, Lloyd Fonds AG will also introduce a&nbsp;new face to the market and a new website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Schmidt, CFA, appointed Chief Investment Officer from April 1, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As previously reported in September 2018, Michael Schmidt, CFA has taken up his position as Chief Investment Officer of Lloyd&nbsp;Fonds AG with effect from April 1, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>A graduate in business administration, he was previously a member of the management board of Deka Investment GmbH. He is a&nbsp;member of the Management Board of DVFA Deutsche Vereinigung f\u00fcr Finanzanalyse und Asset Management e.V. As well as this,&nbsp;Michael Schmidt is a proven expert in sustainability. Among other things, he was a member of the EU Commission\u2019s High Level&nbsp;Expert Group on Sustainable Finance, which was set up from January 2017 to February 2018, laying the foundations for the EU&nbsp;\u201cFinancing Sustainable Growth\u201d action plan with its final report.<\/p>\n<p>Says Klaus Pinter, Chief Financial Officer: \u201cNow that my colleague Michael Schmidt has commenced his duties, we have&nbsp;implemented another important step in the roll-out of our Strategy 2019+. He is the head of our experienced team of fund experts&nbsp;who are in charge of the LF-Line open-end investment funds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Adds Achim Plate, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Lloyd Fonds AG: \u201cWe have gained in Michael Schmidt a renowned expert&nbsp;in asset management who is acknowledged throughout the industry. The aim of Strategy 2019+ is to position Lloyd Fonds AG as an&nbsp;innovative quality leader in active asset management and wealth management in Germany. The expanded Management Board will&nbsp;now be implementing this goal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Peter Vogel appointed Head of Sales for Lloyd Fonds investment funds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lloyd Fonds AG is also additionally enhancing its sales expertise as part of its Strategy 2019+. Effective April 1, 2019, Peter Vogel is&nbsp;head of sales for all LF-Line investment funds.<\/p>\n<p>Before joining Lloyd Fonds AG, he was managing partner of V-Fonds GmbH, a subsidiary of V-Bank AG, where he was responsible&nbsp;for both fund sales and fund purchasing. Prior to this, he held various management positions in sales and marketing, including at&nbsp;Main First Asset Management, Merrill Lynch International Bank Limited and Allianz Global Investors. The Business graduate studied&nbsp;economics at the Philipps University in Marburg.<\/p>\n<p>Jochen Sturtzkopf, Chief Sales Officer comments: \u201cWe are delighted that Peter Vogel, a proven sales expert and an experienced&nbsp;manager, will be heading our investment fund sales.
